topic Call Recordings - metadata in Webex Calling

Hi

I'm just looking to find an answer to how call recordings are handled and exported within webex. Specifically, i'm referring to Klowdfone - who i beleive effectively just resell the webex backend for SIP and VOIP solutions?

I want to know if all recordings downloaded from the dashboard contain the same metadata i.e. album, contributing artists, with contributing artists listing the account used to receive/make the call and everything else detailed in the track title i.e. call direction, time, date, length of call, numbers.

Is there a scenario where none of this data is included in an export and the bitrate, encoding are different?

I'm in dispute with a company and i beleive it is possible my call recording with them has been manipulated in editing software before being sent to me.

I had 2 calls with them. The first contains all Klowdfone metadata listed above and the second contains none of this with different bitrate and encoding.

They maintain that because the call was transferred and i was on hold for a couple of minutes at the start that means there is no metadata. I find this hard to beleive - why would the bitrate and encoding also differ?

I have tried asking klowdfone directly but since i'm not a customer they are reluctant to provide support or answer questions and as far as i can see the dashboard etc is just webex with the klowdfone logo?

any answers would be greatly appreciated.

We can't definitively answer this for you. Webex is a brand name of Cisco, not a single product. Webex Calling has several variants, so that's not determinative either. Even if we knew exactly what that provider is using for call control they may have selected a 3rd-party add-on for call recording functionality.
