Hi Jeremy,
If the query is specifically regarding the Webex remote control event packages, then it has been already made Live in Webex Desktop App.
Here is the latest Help Documentation on the same - https://help.webex.com/en-us/article/wd6c4y/Provide-or-request-remote-control-in-Webex-Meetings,-Webex-Events-(classic),-Webex-Webinars,-and-Webex-Training-sessions
As you can see, it's currently supported in every possible Webex meeting types.
You can try to use the same feature as it's documented and let us know for any further assistance.

No, the feature in the above link is referring to the ability to auto-answer in the Webex App for an incoming call.
