Hello everybody,

I am unable to obtain simultaneous screen sharing from one HDMI output ( of any PC ) towards the USB type C video input port of room kit EQX model. This mirroring should occur on the two 65" monitors of this EQX but nothing appears ( room navigator can' t show any pixel resolution of this input source like if the cable is cut ).

I used a third party HDMI to USB type C 4,5 meters long cable ( which works fine if plugged into USB type C of a Webex room bar ). EQX has 3 more HDMI inputs which are all busy: one for its own quadcam and the remaining two for the two external Webex PTZ 4k external cameras mounted on the walls of this meeting room. Weeks ago I opened a ticket to Cisco without getting any effective answer or guide line.

Thanks,

PC screen is properly mirrored if I use a third party HDMI to USB-C cable connected to USB-C input of a Webex Room bar.

This same PC can' t mirror its display if the above identical third party cable is connected to USB-C input of room kit EQX ( the others 3 HDMI inputs are taken by quad cam and 2 external Cisco PTZ 4K cameras ).

Same negative result by testing a computer with USB-C video output connected via third party USB-C to USB-C cable plugged in the input of room kit EQX.

I opened a ticket to tech support: they took 3 weeks to provide the first suggestion ... buy a Cisco HDMI to USB-C cable.

So meantime I am testing Miracast ( equivalent wireless screen mirroring provided by share.webex.com is laggy and provides unpredictable quality ).

The documentation should clearly mention which Webex do require a Cisco cable to provide screen mirroring. The documentation should also mention which Cisco HDMI cables are uni-directional ( I see here in the community that multiple people learned this function in the hard way ... the person laying cables across walls/rooms is not always the one who must configure and check the Webex functionalities ).
