The USB-C port on the Cisco EQ has a maximum power output of 15W. It is likely that the Lenovos are wanting more than that, but the Mobile phone is fine with that. Many laptops use 65W or higher power supplies.

Thanks Wyne, although on the cable product site they mention it clearly that the 9m cable can charge your laptop! unfortunately, we purchased two of these expensive cables to have only one cable to share and charge!

It can charge a laptop, as long as the laptop doesn’t try to draw too much current. I charge some HP laptops and my MacBook Pro fine.

Hi Rami,

Tthe cable itself capable to transwer the power to provide charging up to 90W, but the Codec EQ (and Pro G2 as well) only provide 15 W budget as Wayne mentioned. If you want to provide proper 90w power, you need to install a USB-C Power injector into the system. We tested earlier 2 device, the SCT USB-PDC adapter and Lightware USBC-BOOSTER-V1. Both provide 90W charge and you have to decide where you want to place. You can connect it the codec end or the table end of the cable. If you place to the codec, you dont need a socket bellow the table and the users plug in the pricey and bit fragile optical cable into their laptop. Or you can place under the table (if there is an available socket there) and the users can plug in the provided, short USB-C cable ( its cheaper to replace). The fun fact, you can daisy chain 2 pcs 9m AOC with these boosters and it's works perfectly with that extended range.

Regards,

Akos
