Dear Team,

Kindly I would like to know how CMS works in real world. I mean to say if we need to perform 4 to 5 video conference calls through CMS how this will happen. What will be the architecture.

Secondly do we need to have Cisco Call Manager in this scenario .

Lets suppose we have 5 users with extension 100,101,102,103 and 105. How they will have video conference meeting using CMS do they need to have CUCM as we well to perform these video conference meetings.

I would really appreciate your response on this.

Regards,

Malik

Hi,

There are multiple ways to make conference calls in CMS. In simple words, two types rendezvous and ad-hoc conference.

With out call manager, you can setup the CMS and LDAP users. A user can login to the WebRTC to their own space. This space id can share with other participants and initiate a conference call.

With call manager, the CMS can be use as conferencing bridge for multiparty conference. assign the conference bridge to the MRGL of the user.

There are many cisco reference documents are available on CMS configuration and architecture.

Few references: Collab Crush - video's

CMS design considerations

Regards,

Shalid
