As per my previous reply (and the Admin Guides), the setting should be left as "Off" unless instructed to turn it on during troubleshooting with the Cisco TAC on WebRTC issues.

Is there a way to turn on 'Provider MicrosoftTeams Compatibility Mode' on the SX10 and SX20? I've got it turned on for the Cisco Webex Room Kit Plus, Mini, and Boards, but I don't see the setting for the SX10 or SX20.

Thanks, KM

I don't think it works. I also think the device needs to be RoomOS 10 and higher which the SX10 and SX20 do not support.

Search for "SX"

https://roomos.cisco.com/print/ReleaseNotes/RoomOS_10

That particular setting was only recently introduced in RoomOS 10.15. It is not available in earlier RoomOS 10 versions, or in the CE9 releases that you need to use on the older SX series endpoints.

The setting itself is really only an option that should be applied temporarily for intermittent troubleshooting of Microsoft Teams calls using WebRTC. Cisco TAC can advise when to set this configuration. The recommendation is to leave it off.

Hello there, could you kindly help me understand ,what is the purpose or use of this feature?

I have it on my Room 55 device but its set too off, does turning it on in anyway improve the quality of my Ms teams calls on the vtc endpoint?

Thank you.

Robert
