topic Hi Philippe, in Collaboration Applications

Hi Philippe,

In HA deployment, you have two Admin VMs and possibly two IRP VMs.

Admin VMs have Private VIP configured, while IRP VMs have Public VIP configured on eth1.

At one time, only one of the Admin VMs/IRP VMs is in "active" role and only on that "active" VM is the VIP interface UP.

If the "active" VM goes down or there is some network issues, HA failover takes place and the other VM takes over and VIP interface comes up on that (now "active") VM.

I hope this helps.

-Dejan

CWMS 2.6 - Simple question on eth1 status en HA deployement

Hi team!

In the interests of monitoring, i want to know the status of eth1 (ViP) for admin VM's.

Exemple :

In a deployement of 800 users, we have 2 admin VM. If the VIP is on the first ("master"), the eth1 is up. But that should be the state of eth1 on the second ? down ?

And if a network issue appear on the first admin VM, that should be the state of eth1 on the second ? up ?

Thank a lot for your answer.

Philippe
