Has anyone gotten Desktop sharing to look good via Jabber (w/o webex)?

According to this bug (CSCuj80610) you cant have decent sharing quality on anything higher than 1024x768. I guess wanting to share at a higher resolution is considered an "enhancement" to the software as well.

Am I missing something?

The default (BFCP) desktop

The default (BFCP) desktop sharing mode was subpar for us as well. Look at the jabber config file and enable the 'PreferP2PDesktopShare' line in the common policies section.

You can test this individually before changing the global config file pushed to users.
