Jabber for Android, MRA and Netscaler

I am currently running Expressway 8.5.2 and CUCM / IM&P version 10.5.1 and netscaler 10.5 with no IPv6 configured anywhere in the network, just IPv4.

When an Android client attempts to connect to MRA the Jabber client will respond with a "cannot communicate with the server" error. After 3 or 4 attempts the client logs in. The Android client is using IPv6 as well as IPv4.

I ran a packet capture on an android tablet and it shows that the IPv6 AAAA record is the error "Standard query response 0x9179 server failure. Looking at RFC 4074 it appears that the netscaler (where our DNS is being handled) is sending this invalid response, the expected response from the netscaler should be an RCODE of 0 with an empty answer section so the resolver can then look for the IPv4 A record.

My Netscaler administrator has been working with netscaler to resolve this but with no luck so as a last resort I thought I would ask if anyone on here has hit this issue and had any idea what was done to resolve it.

Thanks
