CWMS Blast Dial Custom Greeting

Does anyone know the file format needed to successfully upload an audio file to CWMS Blast Dial Custom Greeting. I've tried different types of WAV files which says uploaded successfully however in the Blast Dial configuration nothing shows up under Custom Greeting except the drop down menu which gives the only options as Change, Download and Reset.

Thanks.

When I log into the CWMS Site Admin web portal and under SETTINGS —-> AUDIO —> GLOBAL SETTINGS —-> BLAST DIAL there are 3 headings ( Group Name, Call-In Number and Custom Greeting). Under Custom Greeting there is an option to Upload your own greeting. When I try to upload my custom greeting in WAV format (tried different formats including the recommended format for CUCM) it says it successful however the actual WAV file name does not appear in the drop-down list (as a matter of fact nothing appears). When I dial into the Blast Dial conference it still defaults to the CWMS built-in greeting. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Hi,

My apology for taking so long to get back with you (had a busy couple of nights @ work). So the customized Blast Dial greeting does work when CWMS places an outbound call to the attendees however what is really strange is the file name does not show up in the Admin Portal under Audio -->> Global Settings -->> Blast Dial. Nothing shows up there other than the drop down menu which gives you the option to Change, Download or Reset. What I am curious to know is if that is normal or should the file name be listed? I also updated CWMS to the latest version which is 2.5.1.5051 last night and still the same thing.

I just attached a screenshot where under Custom Greeting there is just the Drop Down Menu where you can either Change, Download or Reset.

Colin

Hi Colin,

That is normal behavior. My lab is on 2.5 MR5 Patch 1 and that is what is expected. The fact that you have options to modify the file and not just to Upload is the only indicator that the custom file has been uploaded.

If you want this to be improved, I would recommend clearly defining what you would like to see and share this feature description with your Cisco Account Team. They can submit the enhancement request to Product Management for further consideration.

I hope this helps.

-Dejan

I have 2.5.1.6139.B-AE version but it does not have custom greeting option on blast dial.

Which version has custom greeting option for blast dial ?

And

Second question. How can I suppress "Press 1" thing and attendants can join blast dial meeting directly ?

Hi Baris,

When you create Blast Dial Group in CWMS Administration > Settings > Audio section, you will have an option to upload Custom Greeting:

As for suppresing "Press 1" feature, there is nothing specific to Blast Dial that you can disable. You can disabled this feature globally on the system for regular meetings, but this is not affecting Blast Dial meeting. For Blast Dial meeting this is hard coded in the product.

Hi Dejan,

Thank you for replying.

I uploaded custom greeting message. That message for attendants.

But Caller going to hear system messages, so I wanted to changed some audio prompts.

Finally, I fully customised.

Also may be, blast dial has to be custom greeting for caller.

It could be option that suppressing "Press 1". Because it is going to use of emergency situation. Nobody does not want to press 1 while joining to conference in emergency situation.

Regards,
