Hello everyone,

Is there any way at all to run Jabber without having CUCM? I am asking because of a situation where the migration to CUCM is planned but not started and won't be for several months. The desire is to NOT have to go with an IM service like Lync only to have to switch to Jabber when the migration to CUCM comes.

As an added twist everyone is using Microsoft RDP.

Hi,

Jabber for Windows has different deployment models. In a "Cloud-based deployment model" you don't need to have a CUCM in deployment. More information is available in the admin guide.
