Take a look at the bottom of this document for some good troublehooting steps:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cumc/cisco_mobile/iPhone/8_0/Cisco_Mobile_iPhone_8.x_Admin_Guide.html#wp77220

Alos, ensure there is no firewall between the wireless network and CUCM that would block the TFTP communication.

HTH,

Chris

A common issue is that the iPhone is not able to resolve the hostname/fqdn of your CUCM server(s).

If you have your CUCM server(s) defined as hostname/fqdn instead of ip address (System > Server), the config file which the jabber client downloads from the tftp server will contain the addresses of the cucm server(s) as hostnames/fqdn. The client has to resolve those into ip addresses and often this fails as the iPhone is not configured to use the corporate dns server.

Solution :

. make sure the iPhone can resolve the hostname/fqdn of cucm server(s)

. define your cucm server(s) as ip address instead of hostname/fqdn in cucm System > Server.
