Is there anyway in the local config files to increase the amount or length chat history is kept in the SQLLite DB?

Chat history that is maintained on an offboard DB for Jabber can be stored in a PostgreSQL DB. The amount of data is controlled by the DB itself, the CUP/ IM&P service does not dictate how much data should be stored. What is the reasoning not to support MS SQL for this? I know Oracle is slated for 10.0 but many customers have MS SQL server and want to reuse it. They often question us why Cisco needs something separate and cannot reuse the what they have. Can this be included if not in 10.0, then at least in 10.5.

hi Srini,

On the IM&P backlog, there is a item to support additional DBs. However,at this time we have not done the technical analyis for anything other than Oracle r11,which as you mention is part of in the 10.0 release.
