Hi team,

We have Cisco jabber version 12.0.1 and outlook 2013 configured in Windows 10.Whenever user logged in jabber ,all outlook entries are duplicating (like call work, call mobile etc...). Outlook is taking all these attributes from AD.Since user logged in to jabber, outlook is fetching the entries from jabber also.Thats why entries are duplicating.Anybody experience this problem?Anything need to do from UC side ?Kindly Suggest.

Thanks

Anees

Hi there

I am wondering you are hitting an old bug of Jabber 10X with Outlook 2013.

May be it’s a TAC time to get it verified

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/Windows/10_5_1/JABW_BK_C8161FA2_00_cisco-jabber-for-windows-10-5-1/JABW_BK_C8161FA2_00_cisco-jabber-for-windows-10-5-1_chapter_010.pdf

Cached Contacts in Microsoft Exchange

Microsoft Exchange 2013 has changed the way it handles cached contacts. This change may result in some cached contacts being stored in hidden folders in Microsoft Outlook that are not viewable or customizable by the end user.
As a result, the Cisco Jabber client may return duplicate and incorrect contacts when searching Microsoft Outlook. If the incorrect contacts are stored as a contact in a user's client, it may lead to other side-effects such as incorrect presence in both the client and Microsoft Outlook. This item is documented in CSCup78097.

Hope this Helps
Cheers
Rath!

***Please rate helpful posts***

Hi,

Thank you very much for your replay. Let me confirm once more, we have 3 entries cisco jabber

work:

mobile

other

-Since outlook is integrated with AD, it is getting entries from there. But outlook is taking from Jabber also. If user is logged out from jabber, in outlook ,only AD entires are showing.so issue is getting only when user logged in to jabber. That results duplication of entries in Outlook.in UC side we are not telling anywhere to pass entries to Outlook. We cannot do anything from oulook side ?

Regards,
