Jabber 12.6.1 EnableProximity parameter not working

Hi,

I just installed Jaber 12.6.1 on a Windows 10 (1809) test PC and noticed the new "Connect to a device" button ("Verbindung mit einem Gerät herstellen" in German). Since there are no devices in our company anyone could connect to and since this button is bound to confuse users, I wanted to get rid of it. So I added the following to our jabber-config.xml

<Options>
<EnableProximity>false</EnableProximity>
</Options>

I uploaded the file to our two CUCM TFTP and restartet the services, restartet Jabber, reset Jabber, reinstalled Jabber after deleting ProgramData and user profile data: no effect, the button stays *sigh*

Any hints, what I might be doing wrong?

What's your CUCM release?

Have you made sure there are no errors in your .xml that would prevent Jabber from parsing it?

You can get a PRT and confirm that Jabber is downloading the file and the information in it.

If there's no error in the file, you might want to open a TAC case to have this looked at.

Hi Jaime,

thank you for your input. I created a PTR and had a look at the file 'jabberAllConfig.xml'. When I'm not mistaken, the configuration from our tftp server should be in the store 'cachedTftpConfigStore.dat'. Is that correct? If so: the configuration in this store is not the one I uploaded to the CUCM but older (much older). CUCM version is 10.5.2.12901-1. On the other hand: when I dowload the file jabber-config.xml via tftp client from the Call Manager, I get the new one. Is there something wrong with tftp?

Sorry, I finally found the error: I once created a soft phone device on the CUCM with a different jabber-testconfig.xml for my account and forgot all about it. After deleting the parameter for this test config file everything works fine.
