Is PostGres on Linux support for IMP archiving? We are wanting to spin up a Linux server and install PostGres on it as the IMP archiving database.

The database setup for IM&P doc contains all the info regarding compatible DBs and versions, have you reviewed the one for your IM&P version?

I see the data bases that are supported. Does it matter if it is on a Windows or Linux box? We are looking to use Linux and not Windows.

No, the underlying OS for the DB doesn't matter, as long as the DB is supported on top of it.
