topic Jabber for Windows 11.8 running on Win7 Enterprise - Error Code CJ:1100:25 in Collaboration Applications

Hi,

currently several users receive a prompt from Jabber with the message "Try again later or contact your system administrator" and a error code "CJ:1100:25"is written in the "show error notification" log.

When I lookup for the error codes (https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice-unified-communications/jabber-windows/116306-qanda-product-00.html) I would guess that CJ:1100 stands for the contact service and 25 means the error 2 and 5.

I can see in the logs of Jabber that it tries to update all kind of contacts, even those which are not in the contact list of jabber. I guess that Jabber is looking in the Outlook mail client for contacts out of the e-mail history.

My question: Has anyone experienced this error? Or can someone tell me a source for the error codes that Jabber for Windows uses in the major version 11?

Have you pulled a problem report from the client and looked at the log file? While verbose, the error is usually pretty clear in it.

Also, what are you using for a contact source: UDS, EDI, or BDI? There were mandatory changes introduced with 11.8.
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/Windows/11_8/RN/cjab_b_release-notes-for-cisco-jabber-windows-118.html#reference_56DD8276CCB81719795237B3B1469577

Hi Jonathan,

thanks for your reply. We're using as contact source the CDI on a 11.5 CUCM.

CUCM exchanges via UDS within the cluster.

Jabber is running with version 11.8.0

The error appears not globally on all clients, just on some.

I'm currently struggeling to find a trigger for the error message.

I've been running the the diagnostic functions and found some suspicious lines in the jabber.log file.

Hopefully someone has the same issue or a solution.
