topic What Jaime is trying to say, in Collaboration Applications

What Jaime is trying to say, if you have a user that has both a physical desk phone and a jabber client, bith with the same extension on the line, you cannot distinguish between them in terms of CSS. i.e. a change you make to one device will apply to the other, so you cannot have different dialing privileges on two devices with the same extension, by just changing the CSS on the line.

you could try to be creative with the device CSS, so only allow onnet on the line itself and then differentiate CSS on the actual device

or just block certain patterns on your VCS

Jabber MRA CALL Restriction

Hi All,

I am trying to restrict Jabber Client Calls from Outside , for EX My Phone is Associated with Internation_CSS. for Jabber Client in Line level i am trying to use None and in device level in jabber client trying to associate CSS_Internal. The problem which i facing was when i remove the CSS in line level from jabber client, its getting removed from the phone. Do i need to execute any script to block External calls from jabber client?

I'm assuming this is a share

I'm assuming this is a share line, right??

As far as CUCM is concerned, they're just another device that is registered, and you use CSS/partitions to control call privileges.

You might want to try device mobility for this.
