Hello,

Has anyone experiences issues on Jabber where everything stops working until you reboot the server? I am currently experiencing this on version 10.5.2 which essentially occurs like every other week. I an tried to check the bugs for that version but i cannot really find anything. Any help is greatly appreciated.

you mentioned that jabber

you mentioned that jabber stops working , so do you mean jabber goes offline or it stops making/receiving calls ? if jabber goes offline very frequently , i would suggest you to check the status of services on IM&P server next time. Most probably it could be due a service getting crash again and again. Few tips to follow like make sure all your services are in INFO level else it hampers the functionality of the server.

The version i am dealing with

The version i am dealing with is 10.5.2.22900-2. I am not sure if there are any associated but relating this issue but it seems strange that when its been running fine for few days, it just stops working and i am unable to login again till i restart

So far,

- i've check the services running and everything looks ok from there

- I've checked RTMT and i see 2 errors (I was actually looking to see if they were any CPU Spike or issue with memory)

UNKNOWN_PARAMNAME:RemoteDB : EspConfigAgent could not reach database on node 10.182.202.31

AppID : Cisco Config Agent

AppID : Cisco IM and Presence Data Monitor

- I've tried failing over between the pub and the sub and still the same. One thing i noticed on the serviceability of the sub is that i am unable to access it due to some certificate issue. It shows "Connection cannot be established (Certificate Exception).

I'm not sure if the issue that is affecting it could be certificate related but even if self-signed certs are being used, i shouldn't have to restart it every other day to be able to login.

Hello,

When i say Jabber stops working, it means, i am unable to login to Jabber. It is currently happening right now and i am unable to login to Jabber. I've checked all services and they are running. I've failed over back and forth within the Pub and Sub and even after each successful failover, i am still not able to login. I did turn on debug level just to pull logs and see what may be happening not nothing out of the ordinary in the logs. Once i finished pulling the logs, i turned off all trace settings the back to the default settings.
