What are the pros and cons for going border spine compared to border leaf

The pros I see of having border spines are:

lower costs - no need for dedicated border leafs
if the spines are modular switches (Nexus 9500) you have higher resilience and availability (redundancy provided by LC/SUPs)
most of the times, the spines are having high bandwidth and are equipped with high speed ports
