I have Cisco 9400 distribution switch and Cisco 9200L POE Access switch. Can I use Cisco 9200L POE Access switch with out renewing the Essential license?

Hello!

I belive you mean without the DNA essential licence? Yes you can, but the features that apply to DNA essentials licence wont work anymore. To better understand which features that are, go to the link below:

Some are full flexible netflow, EEM, catalyst center features as SWIM....

If there is no DNA appliance, let the DNA license expire and nothing is going to happen.

I have also a doubt on License of My Cisco 9800 wireless controller and Cisco 9120 AX series access point. If the licenses of Wireless controller Cisco 9800 and Cisco 9120 access point expire.

what impact the expiration will have on our network, particularly whether:

1. Will the devices continue to function without interruption?

2. Is there any impact on internet connectivity or network performance?

3. Will any specific features or services provided by the license be disabled upon expiration?

Orginal thread was related to DNA License, are you using DNAC and is your wireless SD-Access ?

Most case nothing going to happend technically but its more of compliance issue.

Thank you for your response. It is really helpful. Currently my Smart Licensing status of Cisco 9800-L WLC says Licenses in use are lic_9800l_perf(LIC_C9800L_PERF), air-network-advantage(DNA_NWStack) and air-dan-advantage(AIR-DNA-A).
