topic Cisco AMP for Endpoints in Endpoint Security

Hi guys I was just looking to see if anyone on here knows how to remove a license for AMP off of a computer? We currently have PC's at my company that we want to recycle. I need to pull the Cisco AMP licenses off of those PC's so that we can reuse them on new ones but I can't seem to figure out how to go about doing that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you!

Hello Ben

Hello Ben

The license usage can be removed from the AMP console. The license doesnt drop off due to lack of check-ins or while recycling the work station. The connector must manually be removed from the endpoint and the AMP console UI . Once you delete the connector from the console and that will drop it from the license usage. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hope that helps you.

Rate if this answer helps you.

Hi Ben,

Hi Ben,

As soon as you uninstall the connector, AMP cloud gets a query from endpoint and it removes it from the database. Automatically your license count gets synced as well.

If the entry stays on the console(somehow), better remove it manually as Jetsy said.

Regards,

Dv

Do we have an option to remove inactive endpoints e.g. not communicating with AMP cloud for X month?
Would be great to automate this.
Cheers
