I know this is old, but I'm trying to do the same thing... but I'd like to force the intent to run, not have to have the user tap on the notification. Is there anyway to do this?

I have pushed a remoting software bundle to our company owned android cell phones. I would like to force the app to run

I am told that "Intent" is the mechanism for most MDMs
I can't seem to find it on Meraki.

Yes.....

When sending a notification to an android, you can select the messaging type:

No, this wouldn't be possible. There's only so much the notification can do, by design and the constraints of push notifications.
