This message just popped up in my Meraki Dashboard:

Effective June 4, 2026, Cisco Meraki Systems Manager will be discontinued and no longer available for purchase. In accordance with Cisco’s product lifecycle policy, existing customers will continue to receive technical support and maintenance updates through the Last Day of Support on June 4, 2029. For more details, please refer to the End-of-Sale FAQ.

Is this true? Are we going to have to find another MDM solution?

Now that the link is working it answers my questions.

Key Dates for Planning:

December 3, 2025: Cisco Meraki SM End-of-Sale announced.

June 3, 2026: Last day to purchase new 1-year and 3-year Meraki SM licenses.

5-year licenses have been discontinued to align with the support timeline.

June 3, 2029: End of support for Meraki SM.

I just saw this as well. I wonder how we will be able to utilize Cisco/Apple FastLane without the MDM WiFi profile?

Genuinely gutted reading this - We've been able to avoid intune because of the superior features of SM. Whilst I see that Cisco has partnered with Ivanti to offer Ivanti Neurons for MDM as a replacement, I'm guessing that's not going to be in the dashboard and I'll have yet another "pane of glass" to manage?

We've just made so many customers happy with Systems Manager, and now this?
All the Sentry integrations... all for nothing?

I hope someone will reconsider this.

I see many customers going with Intune, since they find it better
Simply out of curiosity, why makes you think SM is superior? Why is it better than Intune or other MDM systems?

In the end, you're right in a way. There are other systems out there, but the Systems Manager fit perfectly into the ecosystem and made the entire MERAKI more interesting.

Today, I already had the first two unpleasant conversations about whether more cameras or sensors will be scrapped soon and whether we might switch to another manufacturer.

Don't get me wrong, but it feels a little bit like the Broadcom and VMware story 😉

Poor decision on Cisco's part. The development/cost of MDM can't be much, it's a good ROI for them. While not the most full featured MDM product it was very handy to have a single pane of glass view for our entire organization. Now we have to go outside the Cisco umbrella for another product. Why would Cisco send us to the competition for another product?

One of the things we've done, is built upon our Meraki platform.
We started on Meraki only for Wifi. Once we saw how easy it was, we moved our switching to it.
We switched our MPLS network to and MX managed solution.
We went with SM because it was the only platform that could push devices through umbrella.
We've moved to SASE/SecureConnect because of the integration into the platform.

We've just started to add Sensors too.

This is the first time, to my knowledge, that somethings been removed from the dashboard and it's certainly got my team concerned. Its early days yet and 3 years is at least far enough out that we can start evaluating replacements, we're going to be keeping fingers crossed that it's the ONLY evaluation of the stack that we're going to have to do.

I feel like Cisco have realised they are competing with other well established MDM's including Jamf that is used internally by Apple. I'm not surprised about this.

I had already planned to migrate the devices I manage to Jamf at the end of this year as it was very clear to see the writing on the wall not to mention it being very slow with the new UI
