Thank you for the advice. The issue I have when I download the wifi profile from the dashboard, I get an error message:

profile:meraki_sm_mdm.mobileconfig: the selected profile does not contain a WI-Fi payload

Is there something more I need to do before clicking the download button ?

I am attempting to add Meraki management to ipads using the Apple configurator. I have followed the instructions to create the account in the configurator, but when I attach an Ipad and run execute the process, these are the messages I get:

An unexpected error has occurred with Ipad Profile installation failed. A connect to the server could not be established.

or

profile:meraki_sm_mdm.mobileconfig: the selected profile does not contain a WI-Fi payload

or

Provisional enrollment failed. the cloud configuration server could not be verified

I opened a case in the dashboard, but I am not getting this resolved. Has anyone else had this issue with a solution?

Whilst most Apple processes are well thought out, managing devices manually using Apple Configurator are, shall we say, sub optimal.

Whilst you have your devices connected, I would try to either:

1. Provision them with a wifi profile, or;

2. as part of your blueprint, if using one, or provisioning workflow, include a wifi profile

Apple make the assumption that you'll want to streamline the device setup (including MDM enrollment), which includes getting the device online.
