No removal required. Anyconnect 5.0 and Secure Endpoint 8.0 upgrade using their normal methods (eg from ASA/FTD and via the Secure Endpoint web site), their gui just gets converged once they're all upgraded.

Does this mean Anyconnect and Secure Endpoint (AMP) are being combined into a single agent? Will this mean the removal of existing agents (Umbrella/Any Connect, AMP) and the installation of a single agent which provides all of these?

Hello @Armstnei ,
we also recommend doing a direct upgrade. If you are removing Secure Endpoint and afterwards installing Secure Client, this will generate a new Secure Endpoint GUID and you will see duplicates in the console.
Greetings, Throsten
