The integration with SecureX is only required for v3 of the API. v0 and v1 use the client ID and API key from the Secure Endpoint console. You can create new credentials in the Admin > API Credentials section by clicking on the New API Credential button. Be sure to save the API Key when you generate it because it will only be displayed once.

Thanks,

I am in need of developing a logging solution using the Secure Endpoint API. I see in the Learning Labs for Secure Endpoint, API client IDs and keys will be provided by an instructor, or in the the case of the AMP for Endpoints lab, demo sign-in information is given, but no way to use it to generate the credentials. I recall at one point being able to complete a similar project using the demo for Cisco Meraki, and would like to be able to do the same here.

On another note, I'm unclear if I need any more than the client ID and key from the Secure Endpoint to start collecting data. The Authentication section of the Secure Endpoint API documentation start with integrating with SecureX, but as far as I can tell, I don't need this for read-only access for v1, correct?

Thank you for clarifying the SecureX integration. I do not see the option for creating API credentials on the demo dashboard and currently do not have access to a real admin account. I'd like to just use dummy data if possible for my testing, similar to the Meraki Always On Sandbox.
