topic MDA for IP-Phone Authentication (voice and data domain) in Network Access Control

Guys,

Please help me, do you have any hint for my case.

My client want to do authentication for their ip-phones. I have checked in cisco documentation, this can be done with 802.1x implementation with MDA (voice and data domain). With this configuration both ip-phones and device behind will be enabled for authentication.

My concern is, my customer don't want to authenticate device behind ip-phones, but their ip-phones will be enabled for authentication. Is it possible to enabled authentication for voice domain meanwhile data domain will be "bypass" (not MAB for data domain, but just "bypass" or disable authentication requirement for data domain).

Please, help me guys,

BR,

Rizal Ferdiyan
