Cisco ACS 5.2 "active sessions are over limit"

Hello,

I keep getting this message on Cisco ACS 5.2:-

Cisco Secure ACS - Alarm Notification
Severity: Warning

Alarm Name	delete 20000 sessions
Cause/Trigger	active sessions are over limit
Alarm Details	session is over 250000
Generated On	Wed May 02 14:41:28 SAST 2012

I have not noticed any adverse impact on performance of the Cisco ACS as a result of this but I'd like to know how to resolve this before it causes problems.

Q. What is the "delete 20000 sessions" alarm I see on my ACS 5.x dashboard?
A. This alert is informational and is generated because the ACS View keeps track of authentication sessions.

The ACS View maintains all the sessions (RADIUS/TACACS Authentication/Authorization/Accounting). It can keep only 250,000 sessions at a time. Whenever it crosses 250k, it will try to delete 20k sessions, and will send an alarm (the one that you see on the ACS Dashboard).
