Study about EIGRP neighbor router authentication

I'm studying for my BSCI. There is an area called "EIGRP neighbor router authentication". As it is more in to security and I don't have a security back ground, I find it difficult to understand all thoe MD5, key, key chain, key string etc.

Can someone please recommend me a note for me to read and understand what these things are, how do they really work etc?
