Hi There,

I would like to know how does the ACS 5.X VMWARE license ties to the machine.

Any feedback appreciated.

Hi Rama,

ACS 5 licenses are issued based only on the PAK you received and the company name, no other parameters such as MAC address for example.
There are no differences between licenses for ACS 5 appliance and ACS 5 on VMWare.

Hi Fede,

If the license does not tie to any, does it mean we can install it in multiple machines, license it and make it permanent.

Hi Rama,

Technically you may succeed installing the same license on two different servers, but this would be like having an illegal copy of the license on a different server: one license is for one server only.
Moreover, if ACS detects the same license installed on another server, it won't be able to create a distributed deployment with that server for example.
