Blocking HTTP Basic authentication with router?

Is it possible to block HTTP Basic Authentication packets in a router?

Here is my problem. An internal website that uses unencrypted basic authentication works from every location but one. When I sniff the network on both sides of the router the packet that contains the authentication did not make it through the router. The very next packet on both sides is a TCP reset that appears to have come from the remote end. This looks like something is configured to block HTTP basic authentication but our network guy insist that our router is configured like all the other sites.

If this is a router setting what is the command to disable it?
