topic User Authentication in Network Access Control

Hi,

Currently we are using PIX 525 with ACS server for user authentication once the user (workstation) got authenticated PIX maintain the information for 24 hrs (user will be prompted to authenticate after 24 hrs). Average CPU utilization is 2%

Now we are planning to implement session base authentication. My question is do we need to upgrade the hardware from 525 to 535 or 525 will be able to handle the load and requirements for session base authentication.

Would guess no...but there are too many variables I don't have data for. Exactly how many users, how much traffic, what kind of traffic, etc...

You might want to get your local sales rep to take a look into this...he/she would be able to tell you if you needed to upgrade or not.

Thanks,

Josh
