      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;You best bet is to go to the CSM server and do a server backup. That should keep everything that CSM needs.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;After doing that you should be able to wipe things out, upgrade HW and SW, reinstall CSM and import the backup.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A class="jive-link-external-small" href="http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/security_management/cisco_security_manager/security_manager/3.3/installation/guide/upgrade.html"&gt;http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/security_management/cisco_security_manager/security_manager/3.3/installation/guide/upgrade.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; will explain the process in more detail.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I hope it helps.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;PK&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
