I am doing a deployment for ISE , the hardware is SNS-3495-K9, and software version is 2.0.

Now I noticed an error message from MGMT console:

"session directory write failed", it says I need to contact TAC.

can you please advise?

Hi,

Hi,

I have seen this error occurring due to session DB corruption in ISE.

We may need to reset this ISE node. Here are the steps:

application configure <G class="gr_ gr_163 gr-alert gr_spell undefined ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="163" data-gr-id="163">ise</G>

Selection ISE configuration option
[1]Reset Active Directory settings to defaults [2]Display Active Directory settings [3]Configure Active Directory settings [4]Restart/Apply Active Directory settings [5]Clear Active Directory Trusts Cache and restart/apply Active Directory settings [6]Enable/Disable ERS API [7]Reset M&T Session Database [8]Rebuild M&T Unusable Indexes [9]Purge M&T Operational Data [10]Reset M&T Database [11]Refresh M&T Database Statistics [12]Display Profiler Statistics [13]Exit

Select option 7 to reset the session DB.
This will cause an interruption of the service, and <G class="gr_ gr_173 gr-alert gr_gramm undefined Punctuation multiReplace" id="173" data-gr-id="173">therefore</G> it is best to be carried out of business hours.
This will ensure there is no leftover of any corruption in the session db.

Regards,

Aditya
