I was able to find the problem. The Tacacs shared secret was not accepted by ISE. I had to change it to something easy and now I have to manually change it after importing all the devices.

Thanks for the help

ISE 2.1 Failed network device import

Hello all,

I am trying to import a list of network devices with the minimum required information but it is failing. I get the following error "Failed bad input. Please remove markup scripts."

If I add the devices manually it works fine.

I am running ISE 2.1

What could be the problem?

Try opening your csv file in

Try opening your csv file in an editor like notepad or notepad++ and make sure there are no weird unprintable characters hiding in your text. Also, you could try just adding one device using the csv import, just to see if it fails at the first one.

Thanks for the reply. I am doing that right now but I am not sure what is considered unprintable characters.
