I am setting up a new ACS appliance (Cisco 1113). I followed the steps to setup a static ip address but when I do a show, it still says yes to dhcp enabled. I am on a working network, the ACS got a dhcp address. The system says new ip address set, but it does not. Any ideas? Here is what I have done.

asc1> set ip

Use Static IP Address [Yes]: Y

IP Address [10.36.254.222]: 10.36.254.222

Subnet Mask [255.255.255.0]: 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway [10.36.254.1]: 10.36.254.1

DNS Servers (Separate multiple servers with a space) [10.14.100.13]: 10.36.254.2

00 10.14.100.13

New Configuration:

        DHCP: No

        IP Address: 10.36.254.222

        Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

        Default Gateway: 10.36.254.1

        DNS Servers: 10.36.254.200 10.14.100.13

IP Address is reconfigured.

Confirm the changes?

David,

For setting up IP address we need to make sure that ACS SE is connected to a working Ethernet connection before setting or changing the IP address of your ACS SE.

If the port is down or not connected then appliance will not display any ip address, even if it was already configured

If still issue is there try to set up bottom port.

Note To set or change the IP address of your ACS SE, ACS SE must be connected to a working Ethernet connection.

Regards,

~JG

Do rate helpful posts

Yes I tried so many things to get it to work. In the example I included in this thread I did try to use the dhcp address as the static.

I opened a TAC case. The engineer had me downlod a new version of the recovery cd. It did not resolve the problem either. He ended up sending me a new ACS SE RMA. That one works fine. Thanks for all the comments.
