Hi,

we want to upgrade ACS Solution Engine from 4.0 build 23 via 4.1 to 4.1.3.

We also use Windows Remote Agent to authenticate External User Database (Windows Domain Users).

Does anybody know the best way to upgrade.

Should we upgrade Windows Remote Agent before ACS Upgrade to minimize the Downtime ???

Is Remote Agent from ACS 4.0 compatibel with ACS 4.1 ???

Any experiences ?

Thank you for helping !!

Alex

Alex,

ACS and RA has to be on same code, if you want to use AD.

I would suggest you to upgrade appliance first and then remote agent. Remote agent takes not more then 2/3 mins to install.

Ex db auth will fail till ACS and RA are on same code.

It is better to upgrade during off production hrs.

Upgrade path,

4.0 build 23---> 4.1----> 4.1.3

Regards,

~JG

Alex,

You can do that either way. If you want AD authentication during upgrade then,

Step 1

acs 4.0

RA 4.0

Step 2

ACS 4.1

RA 4.1

Step 3

ACS 4.1.3

RA 4.1.3
