      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i've just installed the NFR USB version of ISE on an ESXi server.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The ISE boot just fine, but the default username/password (admin/cisco) dosn't work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm trying to login to the Red Hat to set correct ip address etc.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The partno is:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt; ISE-1.0-MR2-NFR-USB&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyone who have tried to install this and been able to login?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in advance &lt;SPAN __jive_emoticon_name="happy" __jive_macro_name="emoticon" class="jive_macro jive_emote" src="https://community.cisco.com/4.5.4/images/emoticons/happy.gif"&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;/Torben&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thats correct for the ISO install.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But this is the NFR (Not-For-Resell) version on a USB Stick.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It's a complete VMware image, that is booting up the CLI (which is a RedHat &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":monkey_face:"&gt;🐵&lt;/span&gt; asking for a predefine username and password.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It's not asking for a new username/password combination, since the installation step has been provided by Cisco.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But no one seems to know this username/password.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;/Torben&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

I was not aware of the fact that the NFR installation differs from the ISO install.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don't think I can be of any help.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Maybe, based on the installation process of other cisco software, it could be:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;L/P: cisco/cisco&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;L/P: Cisco/Cisco&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Otherwise, is it possible to boot from the ISO to perform a password recovery procedure (Option 3 or 4)?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

Tried that, but it fails saying "missig catalog file" using VMware converter 4.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;NFR files unpack without errors and creates these files:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- ISE_1.0MR2.vmdk&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- ....vmsd&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- ....vmx&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- ....vmxf&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- ....nvram&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- vmware&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- vmware-0&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- vmware-1&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- vmware-2&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any files missing (corrupt tar file?) or am I forgetting something else?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
