      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Cisco devices can be authenticated using Active Directory. But this authentication happens via ACS.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You need to have a ACS in your network, further this ACS database is integrated with windows Active Directory. So when you login as a user to the Cisco device the authentication request is send to the ACS by radius/tacacs protocol suite, checked in its own database, if this is integrated with AD then the request is forwarded to the AD user databse...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
