topic ACS problem with ppp/ccp in Network Access Control

I use Cisco Secure ACS with Tacas+ to authenticate dialin users on a Cisco2610.

While doing authentication locally on the router everything works fine:

Windows users dial in, are validated, get a callback and even multilink with compression.

When ACS is involved, I cannot connect with ccp enabled.

I used the Interfaces/New Services to add Protocol=ppp and Service=ccp. As soon as this is activated (on users or groups) users can no longer connect to the dialin-router.

The Windows-Client stops when waiting for callback.

Without the parameter (PPP/CCP) activated everythings works fine even with callback and multilink controlled by ACS.

Anybody any hints on this ???

I feel this may not be a problem with your ACS server. Which OS are you using ? Do you have all the patches required for this ?

Hello,

what OS do you mean?

The one running ACS: it is Win2003 patched up to date

The clients: different OS but should not be the problem, because authenticating againts the router (without ACS involved) works fine.

Maybe the problem is related to another question I posted here and got some helpful hints. (See ACS dialin problem).

I will report as soon as testing is done.

regards

Hubert
