Newbie - AAA brings in Username & password

Hi,

This is completely new to me:

I have entered the following on my router:

hostname Router

aaa new-model

aaa authentication login default local

aaa authentication login NO_AUTHEN none

aaa authentication ppp default local

Now, everytime I want to console to the router, it asks me for a username & a password!!!

What username & what password must I supply???

HELP!

the "local" keyword will tell your AAA config to look to the local (on the router) user database.

In your configuration file you'll have the "username" command with the username and passwds specified. If you did not make these then you'll need to perform recovery operations. If you did not save the configuration to memory then you can reboot and get back to where you were. If you did write memory, then you'll need to boot, enter Rommon, change config register to 0x2142, boot the router up, copy start run, and delete all your AAA stuff or add appropriate local accounts. Change the config register value back to what it was (e.g. 0x2102).
