Just want to let you know that the last version of ACS is 5.8. BU is planning to announce EOL for 5.8 later this year(2016). Please see the EOL details &lt;A _jive_internal="true" href="https://community.cisco.com/docs/DOC-63880"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt;. 3595 is supported in 5.8.1. For ACS 5.8.1,150,000 network devices are supported in 35xx appliance. Here is the information from the&lt;A href="http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_system/5-8-1/release/notes/acs_581_rn.html#23343"&gt; release notes&lt;/A&gt;. Older appliance support upto 100,000 network devices.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;That said, ISE will be the future platform for TACACS+ or for secure access. ISE is supported from ISE 2.0 onwards, the latest ISE 2.1 supports upto 100000 devices, ISE is easy to use, configuration can be easily deployed with Workcenters for creating workflows, centralized upgrade and a lot of serviceability options outlined&lt;A href="http://www.networkworld.com/article/3053669/security/troubleshooting-ciscos-ise-without-tac.html"&gt; here&lt;/A&gt;.
