I am newbie for ISE, We need to modify the backup server, but clicking on backup & restore tab it seems automatically start a backup. And it takes a really long time after clicking yes on the pop after clicking stop. But then again it falls back to this.

2nd, We are AD integrated but it does not let access on CLI with which i can in GUI. I used Admin after resetting the password in Administration > Admin Access > Admin Users but still doe not work.

You should be able to access the backup/restore without it running a backup. It should not do any backups unless you set a schedule for one.

As for the CLI, it is not AD connected, so you would have to create other CLI accounts to be able to access the CLI with anything other than the admin account.

The backup process may have hung, you can try to cancel it from the CLI on the primary admin node. Run the command "application configure ise", then select option 24 "Force backup cancellation".

Depending on the version, AD CLI accounts are possible, but this was introduced in 2.6, and it is not enabled by default. It sounds like something else might be going on, it might depend on how things are configured, and which version you are running.
