    <description>This is not supported for backups. If you try it you get a message/log along the lines of "Writing to read-only repositories (http, https, cd-rom) is not supported".&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;While http and https are valid repositories for patching, upgrading, and restoring backups, I would avoid them because they do not allow for any authentication.</description>

&lt;P&gt;Have anyone tried with https repository for backups? Question from one of my customer,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Can ISE be configured to use an external object storage such as AWS S3 (or with similar capabilities) as a repository via http/https for backups and restore, etc.?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
