ASDM does not connect

I installed a 5508-x and created a config which worked with asdm but didn't work properly so I copied an older version and it did work BUT the ASDM doesn't work any more.

I have done the usual troubleshooting according to cisco and the good folks here.

Info:

Old firewall worked asa version 9.1(7) and ASDM ver 7.9.1

New firewall doesn't work asa ver 9.8(2) ASDM 7.9(1)

From my pc, it just spinns.

From the working asdm, Iit does not connect.

Any brilliant minds out there.

HTTP is working

ssl is ok

I'm stumped.

Hi

What version of Java do you use?
If you use the embedded asdm from the web portal instead of installing ASDM on your laptop, does it work?
Have you tried with other ASDM version?
