We want to perform posture checking on our machines with regards to Java & Adobe updates - machines are compliant if they are running the latest update. Has anyone done this before or accomplish the requirements?

You cannot do posture check for any of those as of now on ISE. I would suggest you check the registry's that they would update and check for those registry values as a condition. In shot, to answer your question, does ISE support it or does TAC support it, the answer is no.
