I often prefer to patch via the CLI so I can run installs in parallel. With large deployments it can take the better part of a day to patch via the GUI because it runs nodes sequentially.

patch install <patch file name> <repo name>

This way I can patch an entire DC at once, or half the nodes behind a LB etc. It really depends on your deployment structure and failover abilities. I like being able to see the patch success/fail message when going through the CLI rather than just waiting for the GUI to update.

I was not the one who did the update for patch 6, this is why I am asking the question.
