Can I sell the customer an SNS-3595 to be used for HA with his existing 3515 or do they both need to be the same model?

That’s fine as long as both appliances are minimally sized to support the environment

If you’re running with a smaller appliance now than having a larger appliance added will work

Since addition of second server with redundant PSU mentioned, it should be noted that a 2nd PSU can be added to the 3515. You just need to remember to pull it if ever sent in for RMA as exchanges assume base hardware.
