Hi experts,

Quick question about guest portals on ISE for wifi onboarding. Is it possible to have different personalized guest portal for different locations ? In this case all locations will share the same ISE deployment.

Thanks Jason, I ve been found this document:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/legacyfs/online/ise_location-based_web_portals-v2.pdf

In this case, our scenario is 500 access points distributed between different locations but all of them will use the same WLC. In this order of ideas I understand we need to map the location of each access point and them configure different guest portal for each location. So when user connects on site 1 he will get guest portal 1 and when user connects on site 2 he will get guest portal 2. Our point of reference to show personalized guests portals is the location of the access point and not the user id.

Also we are going to use an external LDAP provided by customer as authentication database.

This will work on ISE 2.3 as I described ?

Yes though not an optimal solution to have 500 different portals (see this link for scale information https://communities.cisco.com/docs/DOC-68347)

That’s correct

You can do by ap MAC address, wlan, ap group etc

A feature request I have asked for is to be able to have a single portal that could hold information that could be used as variables matched to received radius attributes, say if ap group equals Joe’s tire rack then provide Joe’s address phone hours but if Roberts tire barn then provide that site specific information, this feature is not yet slated for a release, if you would like this please get this to the guest pm @ameet Kulkarni

Hi Jason thanks for your answer, no 500 different portals, but at least 5:). 5 locations, each one with 100 APs. And we need 5 different portals, one per each location.
